Halloween is over and the seasons in the Philly area have shifted to spring(??). Although the first weekend of November had uncharacteristic warm spring temperatures, the start of the month also means it’s no longer too early to think about December Holiday shows. 

Sunday October 9th of 2022 was a dry cool fall night, with temperatures hovering around 60-degrees. The red lettering of The Fillmore neon marquee provided a glow to Allen St. as fans waited in line to pass through the gate and head up the stairs to enter The Foundry music venue. Most of those fans were waiting for the Rare Americans to hit the stage. However it was the opening act of Dylyn that led to the excited anticipation of the show's start. 

Excitement will be pouring through the doors at Xfinity Live! on Monday September 19th as Philadelphia Eagles fans stop in for a pregame tailgate party. The Eagles have their home opener that night, but before the foot hits the ball, country music will be entertaining the South Philly Sports and Entertainment District.

I first saw Gwendolyn Lewis in February of 2012 when I accompanied my wife to a Nick Carter concert. At the time, Gwen was performing under the stage name Guinevere. It was August 9, 2012 at Xfinity Live! In Philly when I would see her perform again and meet her for the first time. She couldn’t have been a nicer person to meet as the interaction wasn’t a quick {Hi how are you, sure I’ll sign this or take a picture, and then be on your way} moment. Instead she spent a good chunk of time talking to my wife and I about all sorts of topics starting with the performance, but then it morphed into a real genuine conversation. The last time I saw her was in Atlantic City in July 2013. It wasn’t too long after this, Guinevere had seemingly fallen off the earth; social media accounts had been silent and no new music was released. It wasn’t until around 2017 when social media posts started again, under a new moniker, Dylyn.
